Ranged Light Weaponry
[/b][/size]- Bolter - The standard weapon of a Space Marine Battle-brother. Each weapon is blessed with holy phrases and oils on a Forge World. Each bolter (or boltgun) is featured with a sickle clip. The Chapter usually paints the weapon with the color of their chapter and keeps them immaculate in both appearance and function. A bolter can be fixed with different types of ammunition and clips depending on the situation. Each bolter and variant may be equipped with a M40 targeting device, an ammunition counter or a locking mechanism. Other variants of the bolter are the heavy bolter and the smaller pistol. The bolter itself is the healthy medium of the two.Single Shot / 1 Dice per Action Roll
Glancing Shots -upgrade to- Crippling Shots - Bolt Pistol - The .75 caliber bolt pistol is a handheld version of the larger bolter. Usually carried by Space Marine scouts and member of the Commissariat in place of a laspitol. A bolt pistol is compact, portable and tough. Scouts carry it for its versatility and stopping power. It too is blessed on a Force World by members of the Adeptus Mechanicus and taken care of ritually by the user. Often times a user of this weapon will carry a second armament in his/her off hand. This second weapon is often a chainsword, a close combat weapon or in the rare case, another bolt pistol. Single Shot / 1 Dice per Action Roll
+1 to Shooting Roll Results - Shotgun - Typically used by scouts and assault groups a shotgun can prove deadly at close quarters. It is generally used by those going into heavy combat at close range. A shotgun has a fair amount of stopping power to it and almost used exclusively by scouts. As the equipment bestowed to a Battle-brother is far greater than this firearm. Imperial guardsmen have access to a similar version albeit slightly weaker in kickback.Single Shot / 2 Dice per Action Roll
No Effect - Sniper Rifle - Another weapon used exclusively by scouts. The pinnacle of ranged combat the sniper rifle can fire over great distances accurately. In the hand of a skilled marksmen a sniper rifle can save another man’s life from hundreds of yards away. Usable by both Space Marine and Imperial guardsmen alike the sniper rifle is a widely dispersed weapon. Every company has at least a squad dedicated to the duty of supporting squads with covering fire. Many a Marine and Guardsmen alike have earned a wide range of awards simply for one well placed shot. They are in wide use across the Imperium and are common wargear with scouts.Single Shot / 1 Dice per Action Roll

-2 to Shooting Action Rolls - Flamer - Common place in the Imperium is the flamethrower. Used by some forces as a preferred special weapon it is the choice weapon for storming positions. Capable of spewing liquid fire over a fair distance the flamer can cause horrific injury to anybody. When choosing a combination weapon it is often the choice item of a Space Marine. Fortunately the flamer is roughly the same weight as a bolter and is not considered a heavy weapon. It is carried by a single man and can be used by a single guardsmen. An upgraded variant is the heavy flamer.Single Burn / 1 Dice per Enemy Hit
